Victoria company, Future Marine Inc. has grand plans to start testing autonomous electric water taxi service in the Victoria region in 2026. Future Marine says it will begin testing a vessel in hopes of getting approval from Transport Canada to run the un-crewed, accessible service within the next 18-months. 

The location is slated to run from Dockside Green to Village Marina in Victoria's inner Harbour.
