TechWorks – A JABC work readiness program
Thursday, December 4, 2025 (9:30 AM - 2:15 PM) (PST)
Description
Junior Achievement is a global non-profit that offers free programs to youth in Grades 3-12 around the 3 pillars of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Over the last 8 years, JABC has hosted TechWorks – a work readiness program – that has reached more than 45,000 young people in 100+ communities across B.C. TechWorks helps high school students explore the world of technology and the diverse career paths within it.
This year, we’re thrilled to be bringing our in-person TechWorks program back to Victoria-area students on Thursday, December 4th at Camosun College. This program will give Victoria students in Grades 9–12 the chance to learn directly from professionals in technology-driven careers through hands-on, interactive workshops.
JABC would love to invite VIATEC members to host a workshop. This would be an opportunity for companies to introduce their product(s), engage students in a fun and interactive activity, and show them how technology is shaping their industry.
